The Disappearance of Maura Murray This case has so many questions than it does answers. I believe that she’s not missing but deceased. Q. Was she an overachiever who had had enough and started over somewhere? If so, why cut her family out of her life? Was her family part of the problem? Q. What was with the rag in the muffler? I could never get a clear understanding of why the girls’ father would teach them to do that. According to the Murray’s website, Maura disappeared on the evening of February 9, 2004, after she crashed her car on Rt. 112 in Haverhill, NH. At the time of her disappearance, she was enrolled as a junior in a nursing program at the University of Massachusetts. Her story has made international headlines. (My question: WHY did it garner such interest? There is nothing that I could find that would suggest such an interest). Why has it had so much media coverage? Family website says Maura submitted work electronically and emailed professors about a family death...
